Once Upon A Time . . .

I really liked pink. I mean, I LOVED pink - once upon a time. Now I don't really like it so much. I realize it's a very hot color and a lot of people adore pink, but not me. And, once upon a time . . .

I sold beads at bead shows, on the internet and in my own little bead store. You may remember Bumble Beadstm or not. It died a calm, peaceful death in 2003. As a result of having had said store, I still have a lot of beads but not nearly as much room. So . . .

I am having a little giveaway and it's very pink. Here's what we have. There is a lovely vintage cabochon (it was sold to me as vintage - I can only tell you what the seller told me). Some Czech glass - bicone shaped beads, leaves, flowers. Delica beads - 15 grams each of three different colors/finishes and about 12 grams of size 15 cuts in, well, pink. I'll use a random generator to decide the winner, but please tell me what you like pink! Oh, and perhaps what you'll do with your winnings. Be sure to leave an email address if you don't have a Google account! If I can't find you, I'll have to give it away to someone else. I'll close comments Sunday night. Good luck!

What do I like about pink? Well, I have 3 grand-daughters who are obsessed with it. I'd make jewelry for them!

I still love pink, especially fuscia and magenta. And I really love that vintage cab. If I win I'll make a fabulous necklace/bracelet set to wear with my pink clothes.

I never really liked pink until a few years ago. Maybe it is getting older and having a few grey hairs, but now I really enjoy wearing pink.

I've been wanting to make a lariat with a seed bead rope and some beads for fringe. The cab I would use as the centerpiece for a bead embroidered cuff.

What a great stash you have and thanks for the generous giveaway.

I just recently fell in love with pink. I love how it brightens up other colors.

I have been wanting to learn bead embroidery and that cab would be perfect for it.

I also have a number of granddaughters who love pink and would love to receive more beaded gifts from me. My supply of pink beads is low now so more pink beads would be helpful.

Hi T!!
I would be so super happy to have more pink beads.

When I was a kid I hated pink. I think it was because my mother got me a pair of pink tennis shoes that were on clearance and made me wear them. I think I was about 12 and it was in the 60's and I got made fun of a lot!

Last year when Honeysuckle was THE color I bought a pink hoodie and got so many compliments on pink being my color and guess what! Now it is.

Sorry you don't like pink ~lol
xx, Carol

I've always loved pink, but with 5 boys, the only one I can indulge in pink is me. Such pretty beads!

I use pink to brigten up my bead work if a lot of purples are in the work. Its also a fantastic colour by itself. Although I dont have much in the way of pink jewellery, I do love it so.
