Bead Soup Blog Party Previews & News!

I actually have two previews. There are some yummy beads in these packets, very tummy beads. Here is the first:

And it will be mailed on time today even though I am a little ways from home. You see, that's not my dining table or my cup. My plans were slightly interrupted this week by arrival of the sweetest little bundle of joy:

And this time we waited a full nine months so he gets to come home today with his mommy and daddy. His name is Luke and we are all very excited. And even though the weather is freakishly gorgeous, I will not brave the beach for it is spring break. Yeah, that's right - no beach. I've got other things to keep me occupied.

It's That Time Of Year Again!

Did you miss me? You know I'm like a bad penny - I always turn up where you least expect me, especially when it's that time of year.

Once again, I have a fantastic swap partner. Tomorrow I will introduce you to Tina Bosh. This is my fourth year participating the Blog Hop and it's Tina's third. She and I have a lot more in common than just beads, but I'll tell you more about that later.

Oh, and did you remember to spring forward? It is that time of year after all!

I Beaded!

Yes! For the first time in months!


Unfortunately, I was so wrapped up in the story being told as my beading group sat around the table that I counted 66 rather than the 88 needed for the cabochon surround. (I was picking up multiples of 22.) Of course, I did not notice this until I was packing up to leave. I had already gotten to the very last round and wondered why the points were off. Then Jessi said "that looks awfully small" so I held it up to the cab. Of course it was.



So now I must redo everything I did and start again. But the point is, I beaded.

For Christmas, T-man got the flu. Fortunately I have only succumbed to a bad cold combined with awful allergies. Combine this with being out of town for several days and mind-numbing cold (all things relative) and I now feel like I'm running a month behind and, no matter how much I hurry I will still be behind.

Alice was FEARLESS! My heroine.

Happy New Year!

This is my word for the year. This year I will not let myself be held back by insecurities nor by my negativity from my past. I will not listen to negative thoughts. I will not be afraid to try something new and push forward with it.

If I am fearless, then YES I can! I want an entire year of YES I CAN. It will be nice for a change.
